With a passion for technology, I approach challenges that are often seen as fact with a mindset of innovation and possibility. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience working with Microsoft Azure, mastering its capabilities to build powerful and scalable solutions. Building on this foundation, I now focus on STACKIT Cloud, where I apply the same principles of performance, security, and integration to create efficient, cloud-native systems. My combined expertise in database and application development enables me to design fully integrated solutions that optimize operations across modern cloud environments.

Solid code is elementary to a solution so that it can be enjoyed long after it was released. To me that means writing modular, clean code, eliminate redundancy and paying constant attention to performance, scalability and flexibility.

How we Work

DevOps and CI/CD principles ensure integration and continuous delivery of quality solutions. However, before entering the DevOps cycle, strong emphasis is placed on thoroughly understanding the business complexities. While this might seem straightforward, we consider this phase the most critical step in any project.

During this phase we partner with clients in order to gain an understanding of the business dynamics and to identify solution directions that meet the immediate needs as well as align with long-term strategic goals.
Since data democratization is core to our philosophy, we want to ensure that users from any domain can be engaged in data-driven processes.

A thorough understanding of the organization is needed to understand the environment in which the project is executed. Requirements from both business- and technical perspective are collected by engaging with a variety of stakeholders. This will not only stimulate future adoption but also mitigate the risks related to development in relative isolation.
Clients are supported set clear, business-driven goals that guide the project from start to finish, ensuring the BI system delivers valuable and actionable insights. Definition of Done is defined along with project scope and methodology.
The solution is worked out in the design phase. Detailed conceptual and logical data models are prepared, accompanied with necessary technologies and definitions and mile stones. Elementary in the design are next concepts:

Data Quality : Data quality is often seen as an external factor for which issues should be addressed in the source. Although we agree on the garbage-in-garbage-out principle, we do believe that organizations can do more to improve data quality. The use of mapping and reference-and master data are examples of practices that can be used to achieve quality data without delay or the dependency of others.

Simplify; It is not easy to make complex things simple but it is vital in achieving success. Simple solutions are more easily adopted by more stakeholders and will streamline the development process. Rather than overwhelming users with unnecessary complexity, solutions need to streamlined to provide concise, actionable insights that align with the client’s business strategy.

Governance : Embedding the right governance and support organization is necessary to maintain data quality and system performance in time. It helps organizations comply with regulations and manage risks related to data security and privacy. Standardizing practices will allow for more efficient and effective use of data across the organization.

Non-Functional features : Pay enough attention to the ‘non-functional’ requirements like security, compliance, logging, monitoring, performance and total cost of ownership (TCO). Too little will cause undesired side-effects when live, too much will defer from delivering visible value in a timely manner. By using standard practices and techniques we know how to deliver business value without compromising for the less visible, yet equally important aspects of a solution.
Before actual implementation starts, a high level assessment is performed on the assumptions made during the design phase. If necessary specs are adjusted and key challenges are discussed with client. Once design proves feasible actual implementations kicks off
The solution is realized conform specifications and within the project dynamics of the organization. The balance between business value and non-functional aspects is made and functionality is delivered through incremental cycles of development and releases.
Technical review, fine-tuning, and integration testing is conducted to prepare for business testing. By making use of CI/CD pipelines, code is seamlessly released to acceptance, where user acceptance testing is facilitated, and input for further optimizations is collected. The team operates within a DevOps framework, to closely collaborate with business users and to support a smooth and continuous delivery of business value.
During go-live the solution is deployed to production, configurations setup and final tests are conducted. Users start using the system with immediate support available to handle any issues. User adoption is supported through training and ongoing support, while performance is monitored and refinements are made based on user feedback. Ultimately, the system is fully integrated into daily operations, and long-term support can be provided to ensure continued success and address any future needs.
