In today’s fast-paced business environment, many companies start small, developing systems that meet their immediate needs. However, as they grow, new challenges emerge. This is initiative addressed challenges common to scaling operations and where a strategic collaboration helped the customer not only overcome these challenges but to improve the overall return of their operations.

Over a decade ago, the company started to collaborate with an external service provider to expand its service offerings. Initially, everything functioned smoothly with a custom on-premises solution tailored to their needs. Yet, as the business expanded from one country to multiple regions, inefficiencies in the operational processes started to emerge.

A new system was needed that could handle large volumes of data while adhering to strict security and compliance requirements. Operational efficiency had to be improved, reporting had to be enabled and the solution had to be scalable and flexible to consider future growth into new locations and service lines.

Bibits started to partner with the client in order to design and develop a solution that could address their challenges and comply with the demanding non-functional requirements. The primary objective was to replace the old system and streamline operations, reducing processing time by over 80% and addressing immediate operational risks.

An Azure Cloud environment was setup, processing over 700 GB of data on a daily basis, integrating and enriching it into a holistic data model that support the automation of processes. A user interface was implemented that allows any user within the functional domain to operate the solution and to gain access to information that supports the daily operation. A direct side effect was ability to identify inefficiencies and new sales opportunities – with a direct positive impact on returns.

The project concluded in September 2024, with the new system fully operational. Not only did it replace the legacy solution, it also laid the groundwork for future enhancements based on evolving business needs. It highlights the importance of adaptable solutions in today’s digital landscape and proves that data can be converted into a strategic asset and business enabler for any user within the organization.
